Vanilla Smoothie

I changed up my morning routine slightly...having a bowl of fresh fruit in the mornings since such a delicious selection of fruit locally now that the days are warmer. Then following up with this vanilla smoothie that tastes similar to...wait for it...cake batter! You can thank me later:)
Vanilla Smoothie
Serves 1
Blend in a high-speed blender until smooth:
2 cups water
1 serving vegan vanilla protein powder (I used Garden of Life Protein Powder)
1/2 small frozen banana
2 heaping tablespoons almond butter
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground flax seeds
a few ice cubes
A handful of raw organic spinach is also wonderful in this smoothie, you just won’t get that pretty vanilla color.
